Foundations and Simulations on FPGAs
Description
This course allows the introduction of the student inside the world of digital systems design with FPGAs, covering a wide range of topics related to digital systems design with FPGAs, including: the explanation of the architecture of these devices, simulations tools, the design with FPGAs, the use of commercial tools and several practical applications among others.
The course is divided in four main modules, composed of several short videos with a practiced-oriented design, which facilitates the acquisition of knowledge.
El curso tiene como objetivo adquirir los siguientes conocimientos:
LO1- being able to describe the relation between electronics/microelectronics and FPGAs
LO2- being able to explain the architecture and programming of FPGAs
LO3- understand the applications of the FPGAs in the electronics system design
LO4- apply the principles of design of FPGAs in day activities and design
LO5- being able to identify the difference of schematic design and state machine design
LO6- understand the VHDL programming as well as high level digital circuit programming
LO7- visualize the future applications and activities with FPGAs
