GAIA participates in the third transnational meeting of the Digital Twin on Smart Manufacturing project in Gothenburg

On March 25–26, 2025, the third transnational project meeting of Digital Twin on Smart Manufacturing (Project No. 101140156) took place at Göteborgs Tekniska College in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The two-day agenda focused on reviewing the progress of the different work packages, with a special focus on WP3 dedicated to training activities and development of the different modules that will go embedded in the training. GAIA as partner of this consortium, is coordinating the development of the Digital Self-Evaluation Tool and contributing to the design of some of the training modules.

The meeting included collaborative sessions on the setup and maintenance of the Moodle platform, content quality checks, and peer reviews of training materials. In addition, the participants visited the Smart Factories and Production for the Future initiative at Ericsson and concluded the second day with a guided tour of the Volvo Car Factory.

The Digital Twin project brings together 11 full partners and 20 associated partners from five EU countries (Italy, Spain, Sweden, Greece, and Bulgaria) providing expertise from VET/HVET institutions, higher education, enterprises, chambers of commerce, and SMEs. The goal is to meet end-user needs through innovative Digital Twin solutions, promoting digital skills development and smart manufacturing practices across Europe.

GAIA remains committed to supporting the advancement of training tools and methodologies that will empower both learners and educators in the context of Industry 4.0.
