SECOVE organized a transnational workshop to work on a new project opportunities in green skills, inclusion and future competences

On 6 November 2025 SECOVE in collaboration with Star-Girls project organized in the city of Bologna became a union between different stakeholders working on innovation in skills related projects. At the great venue of Baumhaus, GAIA, CRES and CIOFS-FP as organizers of the event, hosted a dynamic workshop designed to boost collaboration, inspire new ideas and shape the European projects of tomorrow.

With representatives from training centers, technology organizations, clusters and expert networks, the event created the perfect environment to connect talent, explore synergies and work on opportunities related to the the transition towards a greener, more digital and more inclusive Europe.

A Space to Inspire and Connect

The session opened with an introduction to SECOVE, followed by a presentation of nine different European projects working on skills, innovation and capacity building.

From green energy and sustainability to digital twin technology, inclusion and capacity-building actions, these initiatives showcased powerful approaches that sparked new ideas among participants. The main objective was to create synergies to check potential collaborations among different projects with different approaches and check first, what can be done together and second, those synergies how can be exploited in new projects facing the new calls.

After the initial presentations, the group moved into an interactive co-creation session and participants were divided into three thematic tables:

  • Energy & Green Skills
  • Future Competences
  • Inclusion

Across three dynamic discussion rounds, each group identified which project approaches could be scaled up, which local needs could inspire new European initiatives, and which concrete joint actions could be launched after the workshop. The result? A rich list of project ideas ready to evolve into strong, multi-partner proposals.

A Launchpad for Future European Projects

The workshop not only strengthened collaboration across the SECOVE and Star-Girls networks but also laid the foundation for new European proposals aligned with Erasmus+, Interreg, LIFE and other funding programmes.
