The Digital Twin on Smart Manufacturing project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme, is launching a series of National Skills Competitions to highlight the practical abilities of students and young professionals in digital twin technologies and smart manufacturing.
These competitions are a key milestone in the project’s pilot phase, during which participants apply knowledge gained from a 450-hour training programme covering digital twins, AI, cybersecurity, robotics, and sustainable manufacturing.
Organised across several European countries (Spain, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria and Sweden), the competitions will bring together teams of trained students to solve real-world industrial challenges using digital tools and collaborative approaches. The tasks will assess both technical expertise and essential skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation.
Winning teams will advance to the International Digital Twin Skills Competition, competing with top participants from across Europe.
The initiative aims to promote digital skills and Industry 4.0 awareness, strengthen vocational education, and prepare learners for the evolving industrial landscape.
